Maybe you don’t remember all of what you learned in school about the US Constitution. Maybe you’d like to know more. It’s always best to go straight to the source. Lincoln County Republicans have been handing out copies of the US Constitution for many years, and now we can accelerate our efforts with this link to a print it yourself US Constitution. Pass it on!
PCOs, or precinct committee officers, are the building block of the Republican Party. They are the grassroots organizing base for all of our activities.
PCOs are elected officials of the Republican Party; they are the Republican representative for their precinct. A precinct can be as small as the open spaces of an historical township or as large as half of an incorporated town, but precincts usually contain 20-250 registered voters.
To become a PCO, you must be voted into office during the Primary Election in even-numbered election years.
You must fill out a declaration of candidacy to run for election as a PCO. In Lincoln County, this means filing on paper at the County Courthouse. There is no cost to file.
If you have any questions about how to file, feel free to contact our Chairman, Mary Blechschmidt at 509-725-0263. For the Elections Office call 509-725-4971.
This quote has been used by political activists for years, first appearing in print in the 1980’s. In Washington state, it means we need to turn out even more Republicans from the Red Counties in order to turn back the liberal tide from Puget Sound.
The Lincoln County Republican Central Committee is organized to promote excellence in our government, to educate party members and the general public about local, state and national issues, and to provide a forum within Lincoln County for those constituents sharing the traditional values of our republic. In addition, the LCRCC intends to influence the government at all levels through whatever means are legally available. The primary method of influence is recognized to elect Republican candidates, and adopt and implement coordinated plans and actions to carry out the purposes set forth above.”
We are ACTIVELY recruiting Precinct Committee Officers throughout the county. There are 46 precincts, with only 12 Precinct Committee Officers. Is there a precinct position calling you?
